A Food and Wine Explosion
The name Etna may most commonly conjure up images of fiery eruptions, molten lava, and clouds of ash but did you know that the slopes of one of the world’s most active volcanoes also play home to a variety of award-winning wineries?
Dedicated wine experts Mosconi certainly do and are embarking on a journey of these very wineries with a one-night-only, six course, wine-forward set menu. From fresh and floral whites to deeply earthy and subtly spiced reds, each varietal featured will be paired with a dish crafted by Head Chef Catherine Anders.
You’ll start this explosive culinary evening with Coffin Bay oysters and beef cheek arancini with a Terrazze dell’Etna Brut, before being treated to yellow fin tuna crudo and Mooloolaba prawn raviolo accompanied by an Etna Bianco and Bianco Superiore. Mains are looking like wild rabbit spaghetti with Nerello Cappuccio followed by veal involtini with Nerello Mascalese while dessert is a cassata semifreddo and Malvasia delle Lipari Passito.
