Hello from Mosconi where Head Chef, Catherine Anders has introduced a new seasonal menu. For those not in the know, Mosconi serves elegant Italian cuisine with the finest Italian wine. Snacks, entrées, mains and dolce, the sweet stuff, have all been given a seasonal twist. Expect scallop stuffed zucchini flowers that are as tasty as they are pretty, beef tartare with a panna cotta twist, prawn risotto and more… much more.

Taking the spring clean to new heights 
They’re fit and you know it. Samantha Ogilvie and Venroy are having a refurb, facelift, refit, spring clean, refresh – whatever you call it, these fashionable favourites are getting a glow up. Venroy is back with a fresh face for spring, and while Samantha Ogilvie’s usual home is undergoing a fitout, they have a temporary set up adjacent to Brooklyn Beauty Bar so no need to go without your go-to.

Cocktails Before Noon?
This isn’t us asking you to get cocktails, well it kind of is, but we digress, we’re telling you to attend a new exhibition opening at Studio Gallery this October called Cocktails Before Noon by Artist Stanislas Piechaczek. The French artist’s work is a colourful insight into Piechaczek’s everyday life with characters going about what would normally be considered banal daily habits but the blend quirky scenes, motifs and naively rendered figures are uplifted by the artists use of intense colour, distorted perspective and signature freehanded facture. A whole new world 
If you know Aesop you know they are committed to conceptual window displays, with their window featuring an ever-changing exhibit one of our window-shopping highlights – so their new red-hued window made us stop in our tracks. The rosy glow from the window now fills the store with warmth, and is in celebration of their latest fragrance Ouranon – the final in a series of six fragrances titled Othertopias, created to transport wearers to worlds both real and imagined.

A birthday to remember
The Calile Hotel has received a very well deserved fifth birthday present, recently named number 12 and The Best Hotel in Oceania in the inaugural World’s 50 Best Hotel awards. As the hotel grows older and wiser, they have decided to expand the variety and types of experiences they offer, to go deeper than the pool with their new event series, Calile Culture. In October the hotel will deep dive and present two very distinct events: the first with international playwright, screen-writer and novelist Suzie Miller see details here; and the second a long leisurely lunch and in-conversation between Paul Bangay, Australia’s foremost garden designer and Belle Magazine Editor Tanya Buchanan, see details here.

The people you see, the things you eat
We ran into Charlotte Williams from Silk Laundry on a lunchtime stroll. We could spot the cool-girl energy from across the street, as she strolled over in a green silk shirt and pants set holding an unintentionally matched iced matcha latte from Lobby Bar. We were keen to chat about all that green and to find out what was on the menu for lunch. The answer? James St Bakery to pick up a spinach (more green!) and feta roll – apparently a go-to and the street’s best kept secret… until now.

Our hot tip
Say goodbye to the Monday blues and hello to Monday Manoushe at Gerard’s Bar. The Lebanese pizza parties will give every Monday night a boost from 5PM till late with Manoushe and a beer or spritz combo. Be there or be square.
